International Speedway 'challenge' Bendigo, Victoria.
After consultation with Golden Helmet riders and organisers, results from the Bendigo round of the International Golden Helmet Speedway Series will not count toward the overall points tally. Due to the Bendigo track being deemed as 'Longtrack', it was decided to keep the Series regulations within 'Speedway' guidelines.
Overall second placed competitor Andreas Jonsson has decided to terminate his maiden Golden Helmet series and has returned home to Sweden to finalise 2001 season engagements.
